A fall exhibition of Hagi yaki pottery with 400 years of history
Hagi yaki pottery, which has been produced in Hagi since ancient times, is highly regarded both in Japan and abroad for its artistic qualities. In recent years, large amounts of Hagi yaki tableware have been produced, and its diversity has found great appeal. The Hagiyaki Festival is an exhibition of Hagi yaki pottery that takes place at two locations in the city (the Hagi-Tamachi shopping arcade and Hagi Meiringakusha). This exhibition features rows of Hagi yaki items in warm colors, and you get to hold actual Hagi yaki in your hands as part of the shopping experience. Other events will also take place.
