A vast field of sunflowers blankets the foothills of the mountains in the Mutsumi area of Hagi each summer. Some 330,000 sunflowers bloom over an area of about four hectares, creating a landscape that resembles a yellow carpet stretching into the distance.

Blooming period: early to mid-August

A giant swing set roughly 10 meters high is located next to the sunflower field! Two observation decks are set up inside the field for easy viewing. Visitors can enjoy views of the Mutsumi countryside stretching as far as the eye can see.
