A luxurious space that blends Japanese and Western styles, with flowers throughout the four seasons
This high-class inn is located at the site of the large Mori manor, which was approximately 10,000 square meters in size. Passing through the front gate, designed in the style of a samurai residence gate, visitors arrive at large premises with a Japanese garden, an English garden, and four buildings laid out with plenty of space in between, featuring an appealing blend of Japanese and Western aesthetics. Located in Horiuchi, the historical samurai residence district of Hagi where summer orange trees and earthen walls still remain, you can enjoy a moment of luxury in a classy space featuring Hokumon Garden with its flowers throughout the four seasons, an outdoor patio, a restaurant called Shoyotei that is made from Japanese zelkova wood, and a large bathhouse where guests can relax. Because it is surrounded by historical sites and other attractions, it is an excellent location for visitors who want to stroll around the samurai residences and castle town. There is a sister inn located near Matsumoto River called Ganjima Bessou, where each room has its own open-air bath made with cypress wood.
