Ceramic Village Park Observation Deck

陶芸の村公園展望台

A great vantage point with a panoramic view of the city

This public park is located in the hills next to Toko-ji Temple and the birthplace of Yoshida Shoin. The observation deck has an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy panoramic views of the city, Mt. Shizuki, and the islands in the Sea of Japan. The park has playground equipment, Hagi yaki works of art, a kiln children can climb on, and an open area for exercise.

There are also about 120 kawazu cherry trees that blossom from late February to early March, giving visitors the chance to stroll among the beautiful rows of cherry blossoms. The park also boasts Japan’s longest Japanese clover flower tunnel—50 meters long with 200 Japanese clover plants—that is in full bloom from early October to early November.
